As the clinical partner in the academic medical enterprise known as Banner – University Medicine, Banner Health makes educating medical professionals a top priority. This includes both Graduate Medical Education for those early in their careers and ongoing education for seasoned providers.
After completing residency training in a chosen field, fellowships offer physicians additional opportunities to acquire the knowledge, clinical judgment, and literature evaluation skills necessary to practice medicine in specialty and sub-specialty areas. Fellowship training programs are developed in alignment with our Complex Disease Management programs and complement both Banner and Arizona’s unique physician demand.
The Banner Health Foundation is honored to receive grants from business and corporate partners to sustain and expand specialized fellowship programs across Arizona. Below are the 2024-2025 distinguished Banner Health fellowships supported by industry grants:
In the area of ongoing education, Banner holds subject-matter symposia and conferences to give our clinical professionals the chance to learn from the best minds in their respective fields, network with peers, and exchange knowledge on the latest advancements in medicine, all while earning Continuing Medical Education credit. Many companies support the ongoing education of providers across the country through paid sponsorships, which also afford them opportunities to showcase products, new technology, and advancements in therapeutics.
